Video Game Ratings & Parent Preferences

Choosing the right games is an important part of a great video game party. Game Trucks GT brings 150+ video games for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Wii, with options for different ages, interests and group sizes.

Parents are always welcome to tell us which games their child loves – and which games they do not want played at the party.

Parents Can Set Game Preferences

If you would like to limit violent games, mature content or specific titles, simply let us know.

You can:

• send us your preferences before the party;
• tell us which games your child especially enjoys;
• give us a list of games you do not want played;
• speak directly with the Game Coach before the party starts.

Our Game Coach can help guide players toward games that fit your preferences and the age of the group.

ESRB Video Game Ratings

Most video games sold in Canada and the United States use the ESRB rating system to help parents understand the age suitability and content of a game.

Common ESRB ratings include:

E – Everyone
Generally suitable for all ages.

E10+ – Everyone 10+
Generally suitable for ages 10 and older.

T – Teen
Generally suitable for ages 13 and older.

M – Mature 17+
Generally suitable for ages 17 and older.

Ratings may also include content descriptors that identify things such as violence, language or other content parents may want to consider.

During the Party

Kids often change games throughout the event, so it is not necessary to select every game in advance.

If you have restrictions, simply tell the Game Coach before gaming begins. The coach can help the group choose appropriate games and avoid titles you do not want used.
